Hey everyone! So I just stumbled upon a 200cc Lifan motorcycle clone for a sweet $400, and it even comes with the carb, wiring harness, and lights.
I'm seriously, seriously thinking about taking my DB30 mini bike and turning it into a total rocket, and hey, don't even think about telling me it won't work, haha!

I'm stoked about the potential power boost, but I'm trying to get a real feel for what these Lifan engines can actually do. What kind of power do they typically make, anyway?

And is it true what I've heard about them revving up to a crazy 9500-10000 RPM? That sounds pretty wild for an engine like this. Spill the beans if you've got any experience with these!

Out of the box, you're probably looking at around 14 to 17 hp depending on the model and carb setup, and yeah, with the right gearing and a good ignition curve, they can scream close to 9500 RPM though....eh well, they're usually happiest in the 7500 to 8500 range for reliability

Nice score! Just to add, make sure your DB30 frame can handle the height and torque, and double-check chain alignment and sprocket clearance. Sounds like a wild build in the making!
