GX160 or Lifan 6.5 for speed & torque

I'm thinking about slapping a Lifan 6.5 or maybe a GX160 on my minibike. What really matters to me are speed and torque, but I also want to keep things budget-friendly. I'm curious, though, how does the Lifan stack up against a stock GX160? Are those performance gains actually worth it? Would love to hear your thoughts

If you're aiming for torque on a budget, the Lifan gives you more out the gate without needing much tuning. The GX160 can be reliable, sure, but you'll end up spending more cash on mods just to get it to catch up, to be honest. In the end, it's all up to what you can afford to go through or something.

The Lifan 6.5 is lighter and cheaper than a GX160 and can give you similar torque , though the GX160 is more reliable and smoother. For a budget minibike build focused on speed and torque, the Lifan is a solid choice, even if it might not last quite as long
