Carb upgrade

I recently bought a Lifan 212 cc with a carb that I can only describe as catastrophic, so here's where I'm at a crossroads. The first and most sensible option is to get another one, but should I stick with the factory one or try to find something else that will match?

What exactly happened with your stock carb? Was it a leak, a flood, or something else entirely?
But I think I'd lean towards getting a new carb, not necessarily a stock one since they can be finicky!
There are some good aftermarket options that can give you a bit more power and much better reliability.
