Asking on behalf of a friend who got a 2018 Lifan X-Pect 200. He's looking to do a bit of a custom street build on. It came with the stock handlebars, but he wants to switch it to some flatter ones for a twist throttle setup. Seemed like a cleaner look to me but let me know if this is all good?

So anyone got recommendations for a good twist throttle to pair with the stock Lifan 200 engine? seen some universal kits online, but he said they have extra switches that he doesn't need. let me know! thanks for any input

For the twist throttle, pretty sure you'll get a good one from QAZAKY. If you want a more premium vibe, NIBBI is better.

It's doable yeah and for the throttle you can find very good throttle kits at Motion Pro. Tell your friend to avoid kits with built-in switches and to check compatibility with Mikuni style carb or whatever the x-pect has.

Universal 7/8" throttle kits usually work fine, but some come with extra switches you dont need. You can grab an OEM-style throttle for a simpler fit. It's an easy and popular upgrade. Good luck
