Fuel smell

There are milions of things I'll need to do on my LF125-7 and I've managed to tackle a few of them, at least enouhg to get it running and driving. My problem now is the fuel smell, which isn't comming from the anywhere around the engine and I'm suspecting it's from the cap. The o ring looks like it's seen some better days, so I'll probably need to change it. Should I change the cap as well, or just the o ring. Also, do I bother looking for lifan specific one or see what I have lying around?

If the O ring looks rough, that's probably where the problem is coming from, try replacing that first before doing a full cap swap, there will be no need to be lifan specific but maybe you're trying to keep things original

Yea just replace the O-ring, it often solves the leak. If that doesn't help, then consider swapping the whole cap.

You don't necessarily need a Lifan-specific one. just match the size and go for fuel-resistant material like Viton. Quick, cheap fix that might save you a headache!

New Viton O-ring might do you fell at first and see if that changes anything buuuut if not then find another one that can make something happen at the least. There's no need to chase a Lifan-branded cap unless you're going for some racing showroom or whatever vibe.
